Should we cancel Saturdays Game???

Hi Everyone,

I've received many emails that people won't be able to make the game on Saturday because of the time crunch with the Conference. I would like majority vote on this so please email me and let me know if you think we should just cancel the game or if you have any other ideas??? I hate to cancel another game, but I completely understand that the time just won't work for many of you. So, if most people and coaches won't be able to make it should we just cancel? What do you all think?

Game Time Change on Saturday

Hello Everyone,

Because of our Church Conference on Saturday the 3rd our game time will be changed. The new time is 5:15-6:15. That will give everyone time to make all their meetings. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I hope this doesn't inconvenience any one not involved in the conference.

Just a quick thank-you to kelly for all her hard work on the pictures!
Also, It's starting to get a little hot out so please remember sun screen and water for your players.

Metal and Wood Bats

Just a note to parents of the 5-6 year olds. Please don't have your children bring metal or wood bats . Too many children are getting hurt with them. If you would like to bring a bat please make sure it is the soft foam type.

March 27th- last names beginning with A-J
April 3rd- last names beginning with K-Z (if this game is cancelled due to Conference, these pictures will be taken on April 24th.)
Team picture dates remain the same.

Game Cancelled

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the late post. We have been gone all day in Stone Oak. We checked the fields and they are damp, but not unplayable, but because it's 44 degrees out right now and wet we are going to cancel the game for today.

We'll see everyone next Friday for practice!

Hello Everyone,

The forecast for today is thunder storms and rain. If it continues to rain we will cancel the game today. If the rain stops and it is clear enough to dry up the fields we will go ahead with the game.

I will add another post if we are going to have a game.

Heads up...

Just to let you all know I will not be at the practice on Friday. Leroy Montgomerey will be setting up the equipment for us. Thank-you , Leroy! If you need anything just email me and let me know before Friday. I will be back on Saturday.

Picture Schedule

UPDATE!- I forgot to put what time pics. are. They will be at 4PM on all dates.

Yea, time for pictures! We will have about 8 families each week for individual baseball pictures. Repeat- INDIVIDUAL. This has nothing to do with teams, so bring every child that is playing baseball on your designated day. Here's the schedule:

Sat. March 20th- Last names beginning with A through E

Sat. March 27th- Last names beginning with F through M

Sat. April 3rd- Last names beginning with N through Z (if this day gets changed due to General Conference, we will take individual pictures for this group on Sat. April 10th)

Now for the team pictures:

Sat. April 10th- 5-6 year olds. Coaches: Christy Coombs and Chris Brady

Sat. April 17th- 7-8 year olds. Coaches: Jeremy Cole and Jed Snarr AND 9-11 year olds.

Coaches: Tom Farnsworth and LeRoy Montgomery

Sat. April 24th- This day will be the last game and the end of season party and trophy ceremony, so I'd like to limit it to a make up day for INDIVIDUAL pictures. There will be no make up day for team pictures.

There is no cost for the pictures. I will send you all the pictures pertaining to your family to your email address (please provide at time of picture taking). I will also send each child's individual photo and team photo in a composition (see MJ's from last year). These are free to you and you can print them however you wish. Just as a tip- I send all my photos to Walgreens.com for one hour printing. The 8x10s are $2.99 and the 4x6 prints are as low as .19 cents each. Also, once you upload the photos to their website you can send the pictures to family members by just providing their email address. This is great if you don't want to print and mail pictures to everyone. (I have a large family, so this is what I do!)

Budget and Spending

Just an update on the baseball Budget and Spending

We started with $1,056.50 in the account (somone overpaid by $.50 and decided to donate the money).

Expenses up to this point:

Copies $15.00
Equipment $ 233.60
T- Shirts $ 289.38
Caps $113.52
Total Spending $ 651.50

This leaves us $405.00 left in the account. The remainder will go towards Trophies and the end of the Season Party. I will continue to update everyone as purchases are made. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Hello families,

Just a quick note. We had a great first practice on Friday! Thank-you to all the coaches and stand in coaches! A special thanks to all those who stepped in from the sidelines and helped with the teams also!

Our next Practice will be this Friday from 5-6:00 and we have our first game on Saturday from 4:30 -5:30. Don't forget to have your children wear their t's and hats to games and practices if possible and please mark their names on them. Also, the drinking fountain is not really working at the park so bring water for your children.

Kristen Holmes will be sending out snack and drink reminders before all of the games. So be sure to check your emails.

If there is anyone who needs a glove Anne-Marie Huddleston has an extra one she is willing to loan out for the season.

Also, I forgot to let everyone know last time, but there will be a big blue bucket with t- ball equipment for parents to play with your little ones who aren't on the teams if you would like.
